INTERNATIONAL JUNIORS’ PROGRAM IJP 2022

 

Approximately one year from March 2022, the four junior sisters stayed in our Casa Community for the International Juniors' Program.
They were Sr. Alda Valentina Menezes from Torres Novas Priory / Angola, Sr. Mary Celestine Ngesheya from Windhoek Priory, Sr. Hildegard Shayo from Ndanda Priory and Sr. Rosaria Choi from Seoul Priory. On March 6, we had to say good bye to the last of them.

It was a time of getting to know each other, intense sharing and learning, working and praying together.

During pilgrimages in and around Rome the could encounter the Saints: St. Benedict and Scholastica, St. Peter and Paul, St. Cecilia and many more, could walk the ways they walked, breathe the air they breathed...

Being together as an international group in an international community gave them the chance 

to practice intercultural living.

We are one - this means

that we really understand one another,

that we speak slowly,

that we listen carefully,

that we ask, whenever we do not understand,

that we have patience.
